Frozen pipe repair is about more than defrosting a line. If it has cracked or broken open, it needs to be repaired or replaced before the water goes back on. Our technicians are licensed professionals who know how to efficiently and safely handle these problems. 

Here are the steps we take to address a frozen pipe:

Finding the Problem Area

The first thing we do is shut off the water supply to prevent additional damage while we locate the affected section. You may have a pipe that has recently frozen or one that has already burst and is leaking into a wall or floor. We carefully inspect the area and identify the freeze or failure point before anything else.

We also inspect beyond the immediate problem. In Mississauga homes, pipes in exterior walls, basements, and crawl spaces are the most common freeze locations during an Ontario winter. If one section is frozen, adjacent runs may be at risk, too. We check the broader system before we move forward.

Thawing the Pipe Without Causing More Damage
